This is also a great opportunity for camp attendees to take some time away from the screens and still have a lot of fun. We welcome new and experienced players to these sessions!

Who are our DMs?
Todd
Todd has been running games of Dungeons and Dragons since 2010. Beginning their journey with D&D, Todd also enjoys Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, Fiasco, and other tabletop role playing games.Todd loves a good mystery, and their favorite part of running RPGs is giving players exactly what they asked for (typically in the most convoluted way possible.) Primarily serving as a Dungeon Master, when they aren’t behind the screen, Todd loves playing out whatever hijinks a Warlock or Rogue can get themselves into.
Violet
Violet has over 12 years of experience DM-ing games and organizing D&D tables for game stores, conventions, and events including D&D celebration, San Diego Comic Con, and other local LA experiences. She has been a guest on Dragon Talk, the official D&D podcast, for her work consulting for a TV show on incorporating D&D, and has run games at a live-streamed event at the Getty. She has also worked 6 years as a science teacher and has even longer experience in education working with organizations since her college years to provide SAT resources and college counseling to high schoolers with less opportunities than their peers. She believes strongly in inclusion and equity and tries to advocate for it in all facets of her life.
Dustin
Dustin is the owner of BGE's Tabletop and has been using game-based learning and gamification in his career as an educator from the very first year he stepped into a classroom in South Korea. Since then, creating engaging environments for learning and developing soft skills has become his passion-- hence the game store! He has been DM-ing for a couple of years and introduces new players to D&D every week!

Dungeon Master Camp
This is a week-long camp for aspiring Dungeon Masters. It is designed to teach aspiring Dungeon Masters (DMs) the skills and knowledge they need to run a successful and engaging role-playing game (RPG) campaign. The class covers a range of topics, including the basics of RPGs and game mastering, the rules of the game, world-building and storytelling techniques, player management and adventure design, session management, improvisation, and troubleshooting. By the end of the class, students should be able to create and run their own D&D campaigns, manage their players effectively, and handle unexpected situations that arise during gameplay.
Final curriculum outline and curriculum to be developed by the instructor. Players will also have the opportunity to DM during this camp!

Beyond Strategy-- Warhammer Creativity and Expression!
Warhammer is not only a game of strategy and tactics, but also has a strong creative side. One of the unique aspects of Warhammer is the ability for players to customize and personalize their armies, creating unique and distinct factions that reflect their individual style and preferences. This creativity extends beyond just painting and modeling miniatures, as players can also create their own backstories, lore, and worlds to accompany their armies.
Additionally, the Warhammer universe is rich with intricate details and lore, providing players with a wealth of inspiration for their own creative endeavors. Players can explore the history and culture of different factions, create their own characters and stories, and even design their own scenarios and campaigns.
The creative side of Warhammer can be a fulfilling and enjoyable aspect of the game, allowing players to express themselves and explore their imagination in a fun and engaging way. Whether through painting and modeling miniatures, writing lore and stories, or designing custom scenarios, Warhammer offers a wealth of creative opportunities for players to explore.

Things to keep in mind for our camp:
- Survey: We will send out a survey to all parents/guardians before the week of your camp starts. Be sure to complete this survey before attending the camp.
- Liability Waiver: Parents will need to sign a liability waiver if they would like to leave their child here during the sessions.
- Player Counts: We will require three players per camp week. If we do not have at least three players we cannot start the camp. We will continue to communicate with you and inform you when we have enough players for the camp. Some camp weeks are limited to a certain number of players.
- Age Groups: We tend to group our camp Sessions based on age. This is more of a recommendation than a hard rule. We may have some overlap in age groups to fill space or to accommodate requests. Please keep this in mind as you sign up for sessions.
- Player Groups: Our Kids D&D Sessions have really grown since we first opened! We want to do everything we can to accommodate players who want to play together. Usually, we can make that happen! However, this requires a bit of flexibility and scheduling compromises for everyone involved including DMs, parents/guardians, players, our store calendar, and our program coordinator. If you have any requests, please let us know and we will do our best to make it happen.
- Age appropriateness: We keep our D&D campaigns for kids mild-mannered. However, please keep in mind there is fighting and sometimes violent encounters in the game: "Encounters often take the form of battles with "monsters" – a generic term used in D&D to describe potentially hostile beings such as animals, aberrant beings, or mythical creatures (Wikipedia)."
- Three Strikes Rule: Players will have three strikes for following instructions of our staff. The first one is a warning, the second one is a chat with the parent/guardian and/or Dustin (store manager/owner), and the third one is a break from the store.
- Keep in mind, whether you are a new or experienced player, we create our first character on day 1!
