How our event space works, how to reserve a table, and how to host your next party or corporate event.

At BGE’s Tabletop, we’re proud to offer a warm, welcoming space for our community to play, gather, celebrate, learn, and connect. Whether you're here for a casual game night, planning a birthday party, or hosting a team-building event, our play space is designed to support memorable and meaningful experiences.

Below is everything you need to know about using our event space, reserving tables, and booking private events.

💲 Our $5 Play Space Fee (and How It Works!)

To help keep our play space clean, welcoming, and available for our community, we charge a $5 event space fee whenever you use our tables.

Here’s what that includes:

$5 to use the space
You also get $5 in store credit
— usable the same day only
— valid on anything except drinks and snacks
— does not bank or roll over to future visits

Before you come in, please be sure to check our Events Calendar. If we have an event running, space may be limited or unavailable.

🪑 BGE’s Tabletop Play Space Policy

How to request a table, how reservations work, and how we keep things fair for everyone.

We love offering a space where our community can gather and play! To make sure things run smoothly for everyone, here’s how our table system works:

🔒 Table Reservations

We do not reserve tables by default.

If you’d like to reserve a table ahead of time, please contact our manager/owner directly or you can leave your contact details with our staff. The manager/owner will get back to you during normal business hours.

Reservation Fees:
Ranges from $32 to $150, based on:

Duration
Time of day
Amount of space needed

Additional fees may apply if you require staff support.

🤝 Planning a Casual Game Day? Use Our Discord Channel!

To keep things fair and transparent, all same-day table availability is managed through our #play-space-meet-up channel on Discord.

How it works:

Post in the channel on the day you plan to come in.
You may post earlier to gauge interest, but space is not confirmed until the actual day.
This ensures fairness and helps us keep everything aligned with the store calendar.
Space is ONLY confirmed in this Discord channel.
Please don’t DM staff or ask in-store.

If you don’t use Discord:
Our staff can post in the channel on your behalf—just give us a call or ask us in person.

📅 If There's an Event Scheduled That Day

You may only use tables after the event begins, and only if there is available space.
We often won’t know availability until the event starts—but feel free to ask!
Some events won’t fill the entire room.

📭 If There Is No Event and No Other Posts in the Channel

It’s usually safe to assume space will be available.
But again, space is officially confirmed day-of in the Discord channel.

🎉 Private Parties & Special Event Rentals

Whether you’re planning a birthday party, a team-building retreat, a corporate training session, or a themed tabletop gaming event, our play space is the perfect setting.

Private event pricing starts at $150+ depending on:

How much of the space you need
Day and time
Duration
Additional staffing or event facilitation

While some events may range much higher in price depending on needs, we typically discuss those directly.

Planning a Pokémon birthday? A Dungeons & Dragons adventure party? Something totally unique?

Optional staff support (game teachers, party hosts, DMs)

🏢 Corporate Team-Building Events

If your team needs a fresh environment or a creative break from the office, our play space is an excellent option.

You can:

Hold morning meetings or strategy sessions
Use our space to focus on tasks away from the office
Wrap up the day with high-quality team-building experiences

D&D isn’t just a game—it’s a powerful learning tool.

Here’s what your team can gain through a curated D&D training experience:

🪑 Reserving a Table for Your Private Event

If you don’t need the entire play space, you can reserve a table specifically for your group.

Reservation Fee:
$32–$100, depending on:

The size of the table
The night of the week
How far in advance you book

If your event is scheduled early enough—or on a lighter day—we can typically accommodate table reservations with more flexibility. Reservations must be arranged in advance by reaching out to Dustin during business hours.

This option is ideal for:

Small birthday gatherings
Casual meetups
D&D one-shots
Board game nights with friends

🛠️ How Do I Book the Entire Space?

Booking depends on how you want to use the space. You have three options:

Option 1: Book the Play Space (Store Remains Open)

Perfect for birthday parties, casual events, and team gatherings during normal hours
We ask for at least one month’s notice
Short-notice bookings may be possible if the calendar is open
You must choose a time when the “Events Calendar” shows the space is free

**Option 2: Book the Play Space and Close the Store**

For large events or private functions requiring full privacy:

Only available at select times
Must be coordinated well in advance
Ideal for corporate events, full-venue parties, or large gaming groups

Option 3: Add Staff to Support or Enhance Your Experience

Add-ons include:

🎲 Board Game Master

An expert who can curate, teach, and run games from our lending library.

🧙♀️ Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master

Run a one-shot or guided campaign tailored to your group.

🧩 Team-Building Game Master

A facilitator who designs structured team-building sessions using tabletop games.

$ Price

For general support (running a D&D game, hosting board game events, etc) we charge $50/hour for the first staff and $35/hour for each additional staff.
